If you’ve never stood near a jet-powered dragster when that turbine starts screaming and the afterburner lights up the night, THIS is your chance!

🏁 WHAT A NIGHT AT KENTUCKY DRAGWAY! 🏁
What a wonderful night of racing, family, friends, fast cars, and fans in the stands at Kentucky Dragway!
It felt GREAT to be back, and we cannot thank everyone enough who came through those gates, filled the stands, brought their race cars, and helped make this such a special night.
And when the racing was finished, we crowned our KING OF THE BLUEGRASS! 👑
🏆 KING OF THE BLUEGRASS — JUSTIN CROSS!
Justin Cross earned his way into the runoff by taking the 1/8 Mile Sportsman victory over Willis Pendergrass. Justin was .052 on the tree and ran an incredible 8.672 on his 8.67 dial — just .002 over!
Then he kept it rolling when it mattered most and came out on top of the runoff to become our KING OF THE BLUEGRASS!
👑 KING OF THE BLUEGRASS FINAL RESULTS:
🥇 1st — Justin Cross — Sportsman
🥈 2nd — Kayley Paynter — Jr. Dragster
🥉 3rd — Tanner Cornish — Top ET
4th — Eddie Day — Modified
5th — Unbridled Spirit — Jet Dragster
Every one of these racers had to earn their spot!
🔥 JR. DRAGSTER — KAYLEY PAYNTER
Kayley Paynter picked up the Jr. Dragster victory over Levi Durham. Kayley went 8.120 on an 8.10 dial to punch her ticket into the King of the Bluegrass runoff!
🔥 MODIFIED — EDDIE DAY
Eddie Day took the Modified win over Jason Sturgill. Eddie laid down a 6.025 on a 5.98 dial to earn his place in the runoff!
🔥 SPORTSMAN — JUSTIN CROSS
Justin Cross defeated Willis Pendergrass, going an incredible 8.672 on an 8.67 dial, and then carried that momentum all the way to the KING OF THE BLUEGRASS crown!
🔥 TOP ET — TANNER CORNISH
A BIG congratulations to Tanner Cornish on his FIRST TOP ET WIN!
Tanner defeated Paul Rainey in the final, running 6.459 on a 6.43 dial with a .012 reaction time. That's a milestone worth celebrating!
🏆 1/4 MILE TROPHY — WILLIS PENDERGRASS
Willis Pendergrass defeated Brian Hale to pick up the Trophy victory! Although the quarter-mile Trophy category wasn't part of the King of the Bluegrass runoff, that win absolutely deserves recognition!
🔥 UNBRIDLED SPIRIT JET DRAGSTER
The Unbridled Spirit was also part of the evening's Jet Car Show, putting some fire in the sky and giving our fans a little something extra to enjoy during a great night of racing!
But the biggest story of the night was YOU — OUR RACERS AND OUR FANS!
Seeing cars back in the lanes, families in the stands, racers battling it out, kids watching from the fence, and our Kentucky Dragway family together again is what this place is all about.
KENTUCKY DRAGWAY IS WORKING IT’S WAY BACK! 🏁
Congratulations to Justin Cross, our KING OF THE BLUEGRASS, and congratulations to every winner, runner-up, racer, crew member, family member, and fan who helped make this night one to remember.
